British Foreign Secretary, David Miliband’s visit to Kabul with United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
During his visit to Kabul with Condoleezza Rice, on Thursday 7 February, the Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, said: 'I'm here for three reasons: to recommit the British Government to the plans that the Prime Minister set out in the House of Commons in December; to reflect on progress; and to assert the mutual responsibilities that we have to support each other.'
 
The British deputy Ambassador, Andrew Patrick met with the Afghan National Army's newest army instructors during a visit to the Kabul Military Training Camp (KMTC) on 27 January.
