Selections from Voices from the Coast receive recognition from Prince Charles
Five stories and drawings from the popular British Embassy sponsored book Voices from the Coast have been chosen by the office of Prince Charles to be included in his website.

The young Nicaraguan authors are the only ones from outside the UK to have received this recognition. To view the stories and drawings see this link: http://www.princeofwales.gov.uk/search/results.shtml?sq=nicaragua&x=16&y=3

Bluefields Jail Appeal
Our embassy has started a fundraising campaign for the construction of two cells for juvenile offenders in Bluefields Nicaragua. Young offenders are held in these cells with adults and the conditions are inhuman. The British Nicaraguan association in Managua has opened a bank account for this campaign. A web page has been created to help raise awareness of this issue and donations of any amount are appreciated. For more information see http://www.freewebs.com/caribbean-coast-prison-appeal/index.html
