The British Ambassador to Egypt, Dominic Asquith, accompanied by Rector of Al Azhar University Dr. Ahmad El Tayeb inaugurated the English Training Centre at Al Azhar University on 24 February 2008. Other VIP’s attended were the Minister of Religious Endowments, Dr Mohamed Hamdy Zaqzouq, the Vice President of Al Azhar, Dr Nosseir and British Council Deputy Chair, Mr Gerard Lemos.
